Cassie Roche and her daughter Danniella have been lovingly nurturing Moonbeam and Angel back to health, 2 horses rescued by KAPS. They were found starved and in terrible condition, but thanks to Cassie's dedication, they are well on their way to good health and loving new homes. Thanks to all in Barrydale who let them graze on their land, it was a treat to see them walking through the village from pasture to pasture!

Route 62 - BarrydaleBarrydale, the perfect weekend getaway on Route 62. A beautiful 2½ hour drive from Cape Town. We offer a marvelous selection of accommodation, restaurants and delightfully different shops.Community Projects: KAPS, Barrydale This elderly donkey was recently rescued by KAPS in Suurbraak. He was found in a horrendous state but with the help of the SPCA in Swellendam, KAPS managed to rescue it by lifting it up into the horse box, and take him home to the KAPS farm. He has been nurtured back to health with the care and dedication of the KAPS team who even had to mince his food as his teeth where in such a state. We're happy to say he is doing very well and has a good many years under his belt yet! He is now enjoying a peaceful retirement with the other KAPS donkeys. KAPS would welcome donations for donkey feed. If you are able to donate, no matter how small an amount, our banking details are: ![]() |
